HOUSTON COUNTY: My life is interesting.
People ask me what I do for a living and my response is normally that I chase convicts and politicians. The difference is, the convicts do not normally lie as much as the politicians.
You see I am in the bail bonding business and the news business.
Last evening I traveled with the Bail Enforcement Division of A-Advantage Bonding to Coffee County in pursuit of a defendant who has not appeared for court before, she has not remained in contact with her attorney nor her bondsman.
The Bail Enforcement Agents had been to the Coffee County Residence near Elba multiple times in an effort to locate her.
The Bail Enforcement Agents had contacted the defendant's probation officer, Mr. Davis in Coffee County. They had requested his assistance because the Bail Enforcement Agents felt the boyfriend was lying. And we can see why there are problems in the Parole and Probation in Alabama.
HOUSTON COUNTY - HENRY COUNTY - DALE COUNTY excluded, the Coffee County Probation Officer, Mr. Davis, seemed to meet the definition of lazy. The Bail Enforcement Agents had requested his assistance because the boyfriend was on probation. Davis did say he would go by the residence. The boyfriend confirmed Davis left a card on the door. FOR REAL????
Bail Enforcement Agents of A-Advantage and myself hit the residence last evening. One agent and the K-9 went to the back while myself and the lead Bail Enforcement Agent went to the front. The boyfriend did come to the door and argue with us.
After a period of time the boyfriend let us in the house. All of the investigation indicated the defendant was inside. But not being 100% for sure we could not force entry.
We went inside and found the female hiding under the bed. She was taken into custody. The intentions were to take her into custody, not harm her and return her to the custody of the Houston County Sheriff. When I went to place the handcuffs her wrists were almost to large for the handcuffs.
The defendant asked could she get her shoes. Well, here is my policy. If you fail to appear for court and come in without problems, I will fight for you to stay on bond and get your problems fixed.
But if we have to hunt you, then you go just like we find you - dressed, naked, half dressed, no shoes. The defendant was transported just like we found her.
The Bail Enforcement Agents transported her from Elba to the Houston County Jail. She will more than likely remain in jail until her August court date for trial.
Courtney Lynn Pantone was arrested January 24, 2018 for Possessing/Receiving a Controlled Substance and indicted on January 11, 2019. Pantone was arrested October 23, 2018 and indicted on February 17, 2021. Pantone's case is before the Honorable Larry Anderson and she is represented by Eric Davis.
Again, Rickey Stokes chases convicts and politicians. The difference is, the convicts do not lie as much!!!
And to Mr. Davis with the Coffee County Office of the Alabama Pardons and Parole. They make energy medicine for your laziness and thank you, for well, NOTHING!!!
