HOUSTON COUNTY:    The 2024 - 2025 school year is about to get kicked off.

Today school teachers from Houston and Henry County along with Dothan City Schools took over downtown Dothan for a group meeting at Dothan Civic Center.

There was a special speaker that I wanted to hear at 10 AM but I was unable to get out of Dale County to be there.

While I know the county schools better because my grandson attends Cottonwood, tonight was open house. The students get to meet the teachers for the upcoming school year.

The Houston County Schools kick off on Monday. So be prepared to stop for school buses and watch for children.

Discuss with your children to watch for students who do not meet others well and alone. Be a friend to others. Do not bully others. Make everyone feel welcome.
