HOUSTON COUNTY: 6:58 PM. 911 dispatched Pansey Volunteer Fire Department, Ashford Volunteer Fire Department and Ashford Rescue long with ALEA TROOPERS to a critical motor vehicle accident .
The location was U.S. Highway 84 East and Lindburg Road ( North County Road 75 ).
A SUV and a Corvette collided with the SUV overturning partially onto the left rear of the Corvette.
As units were rolling there was discussion between the emergency units rolling and 911 if Survival Flight needed to be auto launched. The decision was to wait until emergency units arrived.
On arrival Ashford Rescue transported three persons, trauma alert due to mechanism of injury, emergency to a Dothan hospital. One patient had recently had a major surgery. Based on that and the mechanism of injury was the reason for trauma alert transport. At this time the injuries are not life threatening.
Kinight’s Wrecker was dispatched to the scene.
ALEA Trooper Justin Smith is in charge of the accident investigation.
The accident clean up required U.S. Highway 84 to be closed for a period of time.
