DOTHAN:     7:52 PM   There have been some good comments and some ignorant comments in regards to the firearm assault/murder this morning.

Dothan and Houston County is a better community then this. But law enforcement can not do this alone. The citizens have to help.

First, see something - report something. Let law enforcement know what you see and hear. So many times when law enforcement responds to witnesses and victim's go " I did not see anything ". NO... let the law enforcement know and/or call Crimestoppers 334-793-7000.

Parents, know what your children are doing. Retired United States Federal Marshall John Radney was asked one time about his daddy, who was in his late 70's or ear;y 80's and John in his 50's about if his daddy told him to do something. John was real quick, U.S. Marshall or not, I am in my 50's, if I get out of line I am not too old for my dad to beat my a--!

His dad, J.T. Radney was a good man but he only had to say it one time, not twice.

PARENTS - get a hold of your children no matter what age. Some are killing themselves and going to live in a small cell 23 hours a day for the next 50 years.

It is not the law enforcement job to keep your children out of the street during the parade. Had the officer not had to watch the crowd and trucks - tractors and floats, and children from getting in the street, perhaps the officer would have had more time to watch behind her. Or if the good LORD had placed eyes in the back of her head.

Today's shooting could have been prevented if there was a looking glass where law enforcement could see into the future. But not being able to today's shooting was unpreventable.

However, all Dothan Commissioners - DORSEY, KIRKLAND, BEDWELL MAYOR SALIBA, FERGUSON, PEARCE, CRUTCHFIELD and on the county level all county Commissioners HARVEY, ADAMS, SHOUPE, HERRING AND IVEY all have to support law enforcement and the overtime.

And if a segment of society gets their buttocks chapped and starts yelling, these commissioners have to withstand the heat and tell the public, shut up! The Chief of Police and Sheriff are not going to let this community get out of control.

This is a society issue and is not just white or black. All races need to get it together and support law enforcement and help them. Support the law enforcement when they crack down. The warning to commissioners, you don’t support them RSN will point it out.
