8:21 PM. Firearm Assault Victim Enroute to Southeast Health

DOTHAN - POSSIBLY FLORIDA:    8:21 PM.   Dothan 911 dispatched a vehicle headed to Southeast Health with a possible firearm assault victim inside.

Dothan Police Sgt. Jason Adkins intercepted the vehicle transporting the firearm assault victim on Ross Clark Circle at Alexander, which is right at Southeast Health.

Dothan Police 911 was obtaining information the firearm assault possibly occurred at South Oates and Saunders Road. Dothan quickly closed that intersection down.

Jackson County Sheriff Donnie Edenfield, simultaneously as Dothan 911 was getting the call, had Jackson County Sheriff Deputies northbound towards Alabama - Florida line. First BOLO fir suspect(s) vehicle and until Dothan Police got an exact crime scene location.

It took about 17 minutes from the call hitting Dothan 911, in which the firearm assault victim was traveling from Highway 231 and Saunders Road to Southeast Health for Dothan Police to identify the exact location the crime occurred. Which is at the intersection of Highway 231 and Saunders Road.

The circumstances are unknown at this time. Dothan Police Criminal Investigators and Patrol Division are working to place pieces of the puzzle together.

Dothan Police Chief Will Benny said Dothan Criminal Investigators are responding to Southeast Health while Patrol Division, under the command of Patrol Lt. Jeremy Kendrick, are protecting the crime scene and obtaining information. 

Dothan Police Patrol Division, Communications 911 Center, and Criminal Investigators are working all combined resources of putting the puzzle together.
