A Single Vehicle Crash Claimed tje Life of an Elba Man

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, has claimed the life of an Elba man. William H. Peters, 87, was driving a 2005 Ford F-250 pickup, which left the roadway and overturn.

Peters was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Alabama 125 near the 10 mile marker, approximately eight miles north of Elba, in Coffee County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
