PANAMA CITY: On May 15th, the Green Dragon Dispensary on Harrison Avenue was broken into by a black male suspect who threw a cinder block through the glass front door. The suspect then entered the business, taking more than $1,500 in medicinal marijuana paraphernalia. During the course of the robbery, the suspect cut his hand badly, causing it to bleed heavily.
Through a tip from the public, George Labarron Whitsett, B/M, 42, was identified as a suspect. Detectives with the Panama City Police Department stopped Whitsett at a hotel directly across from the dispensary on Saturday, May 20th. Whitsett had a large cut on his right hand that appeared to be 4-5 days old.
Whitsett was arrested and charged with burglary of a structure and grand theft. He was booked into the Bay County Jail.
