A man wanted for attempted murder of a Alabama State Trooper was taken into custody late Saturday night, after cell phone owners were alerted to a Blue Alert on Saturday morning and were told to be aware of a “dangerous person.”
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 57-year-old Randy Lee Wade was arrested without incident in Sumter County.
The ordeal began Friday night on Alabama Highway 28 and Interstate 20/59 in Livingston around 11:45 p.m. Senior Reginal King said the trooper stopped Wade for a traffic violation and was in the process of arresting him for six warrants, when Wade “attempted to murder the trooper and fled the scene.”
