ALABAMA:     The Alabama Judicial Resources Allocation Commission voted Thursday to move a vacant circuit court judgeship in Jefferson County to fast-growing Madison County.

As a result, Tiara Hudson, the Democratic nominee for that Jefferson County seat who faces no Republican opposition in November, stands to have the job taken away before she can serve. This circuit seat, once held by Judge Clyde Jones, currently processes criminal cases.

20TH Judicial Circuit Court Judge Butch Binford, Houston-Henry County Presiding Circuit Court Judge, serves on the Alabama Judicial Resources Allocation Commission.
