104 years ago me and my brother’s Great Grandfather Michael Sachar along with Robert Newman built the first Peanut Oil Mill of its kind in Alabama.
The location was in Abbeville where West Point Pepperell off 431 and Hwy.27 was once located.
Our sincere thanks to Larry Smith, Henry Co Historical Group and the Henry Co. Farmers Federation for helping to make this day so special to my family by erecting this beautiful State of Alabama Historical Sign close to the Oil Mills location.
