Congratulations to ALEA Trooper Class 2020-B on graduating from the Academy in Selma on March 20th, 2020. Welcome to the ALEA family! #ALEA
But they are not ready yet.
These new Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Troopers are still required to complete Field Officer Training. This training is with a seasoned ALEA - Trooper they ride with on the roads of the State of Alabama. After a period of time, and if the FTO signs off, the Trooper is then assigned on his own.
While I do not know the ones in the graduating class other than one, I do wish to congratulate former Headland Police Corporal Aaron Sanders. He was in the graduating class and a part of the ALEA family.
Aaron graduated from Headland High School where he attended from kidergarten through graduation. He was hired as a Corrections Officer under Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox. Later Headland Police Chief Mark Jones hired him with Headland Police Department where he remained employed until moving into employment with ALEA.
Congratulations to all of the men and women who completed and will move ahead to risking their life in the service of others.
Also Aaron, congratulations my man!
