DOTHAN: All that Bill and Lisa Goree can say as parents of Sarah Elizabeth Goree, all Seth and Erin Goree can say as brother and sister in law to Sarah Elizabeth Goree is, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF THEIR HEARTS.

The 12th annual boston butt and rib sale began with cooking on Wednesday. It was scheduled for sales to be Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

This morning before 10 AM I spoke to Seth. They had 60 boston butts left was all they had to sell. And those were gone within a very short period of time.

The turn out and support the people of Dothan, Houston County and the wiregrass was truly amazing.

If you know the Goree's then you know how humble they are. And they were very humbled at the outpouring of support to remember their daughter, sister and sister-in-law in coming and purchasing the boston butts and ribs for the Child Advocacy Center.

Sarah Elizabeth Goree's life was tragically taken in an automobile accident on Westgate Parkway. Since then the family wanted to do a special project to help a cause in remembering their daughter.

The event is a success because many who had the privilege to know Sarah, and many who did not but over the years met Bill, Lisa, Seth and Erin, turn out to volunteer and help cook to raise money for the Child Advocacy Center, to remember Sarah and to support her family.

You can not resist helping when you meet Bill, Lisa, Seth and Erin. And many do from all walks of life.

There are no ribs or boston butts available on Saturday. Today, Friday morning, they sold out completely.
