BAY COUNTY FL: In April Bay County Department of Emergency Services, EMS Division, posted a video showing their decon equipment for ambulances.
Since COVID arrived in March the entire way we do things, everything, has changed. Did you ever think you would walk into a bank with a mask on just for transaction? Most everyone who walked into a bank prior to March with a mask was there to rob the place.
This video depicts what emergency services everywhere has had to do. Develop ways and innovative ways to decon equipment to #STOPTHESPREAD of COVID.
It is the EMS transports who have the COVID patients, often times, transporting them to medical facilities.
In Houston County the registered voters will be asked a question on the ballot:
DO YOU FAVOR THE ADOPTION OF ACT 2020 - 191?
YOU ARE ASKED TO VOTE YES
All EMS which covers all 582 square miles of Houston County, ( Ashford, Columbia, Cottonwood, Dothan Fire, Pilcher’s, Rehobeth, Wicksburg ) ask you to vote YES.
This is funding of $ 5.00 on tag purchases to be used solely for EMS. It can not be used for construction of facilities or maintenance, but only for patient care by EMS, Supplies, ambulances, monitors and salaries of EMS care providers.
You never know when emergency medical treatment is needed. Life threatening emergencies never make appointments. The Houston County EMS Association is continuing to work to make #houstoncountystrong.
The Bay County EMS video is an example, just one example, of what EMS has been required to do since March when COVID arrived.
