I would like to share this heartfelt message I received 5 years ago today from Deborah Trammell who’s loving son Jason Carl Trammell was called to Heaven 14 years ago.
But first I would like to say that out of all the parents I’ve spoken to that has lost a child I’ve found they all have at least 3 things in common.
The first being the dark hole inside of them that can never be filled or ever go away.
Secondly, they think of their child every day and it never gets better and the last thing is..
The fear that others will forget about their child.
The Angel Of Hope Statue at Westgate Park was created in November of 2016 so that a parent’s child who is no longer with them will never be forgotten.
From Deborah Trammell... Mother of Jason Carl Trammell ( Feb 5, 1979-May 9, 2007 )
Dear Steve,
As a mother who cherishes memories of my only son who passed at a young age, the Angel of Hope will be a place I can go to to meditate. There I may find time alone or perhaps be able to help a mom who has just started her journey thru the loss of her child. This statue is a symbol of Hope. God gives us hope for the future. Without God I can’t survive this journey. I appreciate the compassion that is being shown by the donaters to the success of making this happen. I know if I can help someone by what I have been thru it won’t be in vain.I want to add mother of Jason Carl Trammell Father of 2 , brother of 2 sisters. Assistant kitchen manager at Outback. Graduate of DCHS class of ’97.
