Annie Laura Hutcheson age 85, passed away January 30, 2024.
She was born January 30, 1939 in Slocomb, Alabama the daughter of David Meredith and Doris McCallister Meredith. Laura worked at Flowers Hospital as a housekeeper supervisor. She loved caring for her flowers, doing puzzles, watching QVC and gameshows. Laura was an amazing cook and was famous for her red velvet cakes, dumplings and dressing.
She loved Alabama Football and it’s rich traditions and enjoyed sharing that love with family and friends. Laura was a Worthy Matron of the Florala Chapter of the Eastern Star and a member of New Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by father, David Meredith; mother, Doris McCallister Meredith; the father of her 3 children, Allison Hutcheson.
She is survived by sons, Craig Hutcheson and wife Susan and Gregory Hutcheson and wife Carron, daughter Madonna Bradley and husband Matt, brothers, Bobby Meredith and wife Loretta and Ben Meredith and wife Carol. She is also survived by grandchildren, Matt, Jessie, Lindsey, Hailey, Meredith, Kelsey, Zack and Morgan and numerous great grandchildren. Laura relished being their NaNa.
Funeral services for Annie Laura Hutcheson will be 11AM Saturday February 3, 2024 at New Providence Baptist Church in Slocomb, AL with Joe Mac Sawyer officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
