Arrest Made in SHOOTING - KINSEY, ALABAMA

On May 20, 2020 at 3:19 p.m. Houston County Sheriff’s Office and Kinsey Police Department responded to the Breeze in Mart located on Chevy Dr. to a report of a person shot.
Kinsey Fire and Headland Rescue respond to the scene and transported a 22 year old male victim to a Dothan hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The investigation indicated the shooting took place in the area of Malibu St. and Chevette St.
Based on information obtained in the investigation from witnesses and citizens, a suspect in the shooting was identified,
At or about 6:45 p.m. Savion Omarion Jones 18 years old was taken into custody at a residence on Corvette St Kinsey, Al.
Offender: Savion Omarion Jones has been charged with:
1: Assault 1st degree
Bond: NO BOND
2: Robbery 1st degree
Bond: NO BOND
The investigation is still ongoing.
