Arrest Made in the Dianisleidy Rodriguez Hernandez Homicide Investigation

BIRMINGHAM ALA: The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have obtained a warrant for an arrest in connection to the murder of Dianisleidy Rodriguez Hernandez. She was shot and killed on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in the 4200 Block of 5th Avenue South.


The suspect has been identified as:

Johnny Sears Jr. (44), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.



Birmingham Police Detectives presented case information to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained a warrant for Murder on Johnny Sears Jr.



Johnny Sears Jr. is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail where he is being held with No Bond.
