Each time I do a fundraiser for a child with cancer I am absolutely amazed and humbled by the families that have a child with cancer or have a child that is a cancer survivor, or have a child who didn’t survive from cancer. They are always the first to come up and ask
“ How can I help ?”
Even the children with cancer ask to help !!!


Their LOYALTY to each other who are going through the same things that they are going through or have been through is the most beautiful thing I think I have ever witnessed. Together they are the STRENGTH IN NUMBERS that will help get other families with a child who has cancer through their financial and emotional times.


September is Child Cancer Awareness Month.


All 12 months of the year should be Child Cancer Awareness Months.


The sad thing I have learned from doing fundraisers is that the majority of people look the other way when they see something posted about a child with cancer but if you post something about a sick animal thousands will respond. I am a animal lover myself but I just can’t understand why so many ignore help for a child but will give their last dime for a sick dog or cat.


They all need Help!!


Maybe many think that insurance pays For a sick child...but that’s not always true. Many treatments and medications are clinical trials that insurance doesn’t cover and insurance does not pay for parents to be away from work for months at a time while they live in a small hospital room 200 miles or more away.
I’d be broke if I wasn’t able to work for 3 months.


Most families that are struggling financially because of a child with cancer or other diseases never ask for any help.
They have so much Pride and Faith.
But the sad truth is they need help..families have lost their homes or had to file bankruptcy because of overwhelming medical bills and no income because they couldn’t work while their child was sick.


BUT THE ONE THING ALL FAMILIES ASK FOR...
ARE PRAYERS FOR THEIR SICK CHILD


So I’m not asking today for a donation
Today I ask that you take a few minutes not moments to pray for all the children in our community and beyond .


They Need It !!!
