Beth Kenward Announces Second Run For Dothan Commissioner District 5

DOTHAN:   This morning Dothan Commissioner of District 5, Beth Kenward, made an official announcement that she was seeking another term as Dothan Commissioner.

Commissioner Kenward displayed an example of the amount of reading material provided to commissioners prior to meetings. She asked for it to be sent electronically to save money on the amount of paper used to copy the material. That is why she is seen at commission meetings with a laptop.

Commissioner Kenward said she spends time reading every page of the material. The decisions she makes are not taken lightly and she spends a lot of time studying all of it.

Commissioner Kenward asks a lot of questions. Often times the majority of the questions are asked prior to the meeting. But she often times thinks of what the public would like to know and ask those questions in open meetings. Commissioner Kenward said that she does that in order to allow the public a chance to understand why the vote is cast as it is.

Commissioner Kenward also said that she likes to hear from the public on issues. She urges the citizens to participate in the public forums. She urges phone calls and emails from the public. Commissioner Kenward said all are taken seriously and the matters are looked into.

Commissioner Kenward is off and running. She seeks your vote in the upcoming Dothan elections.
