Bonifay Man Chrged with Possession of Methamphetamine

BONIFAY - On January 6th, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Sand Path Rd. and Decon Rd. Contact was made with the driver and a passenger, identified as Walter Darby of Bonifay.


During the traffic stop, K9 Highway conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the presence of illegal narcotics.



Deputies proceeded with a probable cause search of the vehicle, and located a baggie of methamphetamine hidden inside a container of ice cream that was determined to belong to Darby.



Walter Darby was transported to the Holmes County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
