Bonifay Woman Jailed on Warrants Drug Charges

HOLMAES COUNTY: On March 13th, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious person on Coates Rd. Upon arrival, contact was made with Lacey Babb of Bonifay.
Dispatch advised that Babb had two active Holmes County warrants, and was promptly taken into custody. During the interaction, Babb was observed reaching toward the waistband of her pants. After she was placed in the patrol vehicle, deputies noticed a small baggy containing methamphetamine on the ground where she’d been standing.
When arriving at the jail, Babb admitted to concealing prescription pills. A search of her person produced diazepam, for which she did not have a prescription. Babb also admitted ownership of the methamphetamine found previously.
In addition to the outstanding warrants, Lacey Babb is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance (diazepam).
