Burger King Fire in Opp Bring Multiple Fire Departments Together

Opp Fire Department along with multiple other departments responded at 13:21 this afternoon to Burger King for a Commercial Structure Fire. Rescue 9, which was out on a medical call arrived 2 minutes later reporting fire and heavy smoke showing from the building and requested mutual aid adding additional departments to the incident. The fire was contained to the exterior walls and overhead of the restaurant and no injuries were reported. Thanks to Babbie VFD, Onycha VFD, Andalusia Fire, Elba Fire and Troy Fire for the quick response. Haynes Ambulance, Opp Police Department and Opp Utilities also responded.
