Circuit Houston and Henry County Court Watch for Judicial September.13, 2023

DOTHAN: These court cases are scheduled in the 20th Judicial Circuit in Houston and Henry County Alabama:

Note:  Juvenile doesn’t have Public Record Judge Lori Collier Ingram and Judge Henry “D” Butch Binford Handle all Juvenile Cases.

Note: Domestic Violence is not always Abuse Cases. They have cases like Petition for Custody, Petition to Modify.

HOUSTON COUNTY:

 

HONORABLE HOUSTON COUNTY DISTRICT COURT JUDGE BENJAMIN H LEWIS each morning has initial appearances. These are people who have not made bond. They are required to be seen by a Judge or Magistrate within 48 to 72 hours "of their arrest". Judge Lewis follows the law even when on holidays he or another Judge comes to the Houston County Jail for the initial appearances.

These persons are seen via a TV screen from the jail to the courtroom.

 

HONORABLE HOUSTON COUNTY DISTRICT-CRIMINAL JUDGE BENJAMIN H LEWIS:  Has District-Criminal with 1 case for Giving False Name to Police. He also has Traffic with 5 cases for Drive W/Suspended X 2 , No Driver’s License, Improper Tag, Fail Display Insurant.

 

HONORABLE HOUSTON COUNTY CIRCUIT-CIVIL JUDGE CHRISTOPHER K RICHARDSON:  Has Circuit-Civil with 2 cases for Medical Malpractice, Conversion.

 

Henry County:

HONORABLE HENRY COUNTY CIVIL-CRIMINAL JUDGE JAMES D PETERSON: Had Child Support with 18 cases range from Child Support Case, Paternity, INTR Act Under UIFSA, Petition for Custody.
