Combined Law Enforcement OperatIon Results in Large Drug Seizure in Abbeville

ABBEVILLE: On Wednesday, April 7, 2021 members of the ALEA SBI Region B Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force (ADETF), Abbeville Police Department and Henry County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotics operation in Abbeville, AL.
During this operation, Agents arrested Cassime Lingo for various narcotics crimes. This operation also resulted in the recovery of approximately 702 grams of marijuana, 11 grams of cocaine, 29 grams of MDMA, 112 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of methocarbonal, 1 handgun and 1 rifle.
The ALEA SBI ADETF -Region B is comprised of Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Enterprise Police Department, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Eufaula Police Department, Ozark Police Department, Geneva County Sheriff’s Office, and Geneva Police Department.
Abbeville Police Chief Eric Blankenship stated that he will continue to fight the drugs in the city of Abbeville and he wants to thank all the agencies that assisted in this lengthy investigation.
