DOTHAN: 4:39 pm There is a subdivsion off Prevatt Road called ROSEWOOD DRIVE .
This road has about 50 homes. It is a dead end street.
Dothan Commissioner of District 4, Albert Kirkland, was contacted about the speed on this road. A digital speed limit sign was placed out there for a couple of weeks. Dothan Commissioner Albert Kirkland said they would not put speed bumps because there was not enough traffic.
The digital sign was removed and the traffic continued and the speed continued.
Several residents have complained about this issue.
Other residents complained to District Four Commissioner Albert Kirkland over this issue. And Kirkland did not have time to look into this issue.
That is a normal reply of Commissioner Kirkland. Other Commissioners, John Ferguson, Beth Kenward and David Crutchfield as well as Kevin Dorsey and Janesky Fleming has had to do Commissioner Albert Kirkland's work.
Because Albert Kirkland has a long standing history of not looking after the people who elected him. The other commissioners have to look after his people because Albert is not going to. Well except, he will choke me!
My advise to this these residents: Call Dothan Police Department ask for the Captain of Patrol Division and inform him of the issues in the neighborhood. Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish makes sure issues gets handled.
The commander of Dothan Police Patrol Division will get it handled. Also issued a word of caution - often the one who complains is normally the first one to get a traffic ticket. So beware.
Some commissioners are good at looking after their residents. Some feel they know everything and cannot be told anything. And some are not even good fertilizer for the grass.
