COTTONWOOD AL:     Cottonwood EMS is now accepting applications for all levels of emergency medical providers for Emergency Medical Services on Cottonwood Rescue.

Cottonwood EMS is looking for those qualified, trained and licensed in the State of Alabama to work from Basic Emergency Medical Technician through all levels to include Paramedic.

To apply call 334-791-2800 or email [email protected].

Emergency Medical Services are services specifically designed, staffed, and equipped for the emergency care of patients.

A group of dedicated professional responders with medical skills who attend to emergencies or disasters by coming to the location of the event. Whether the event is minor or major, strictly medical or trauma, Cottonwood EMS wants professionals up for the challenge of treating the patient.

EMT’s are trained to assess a patient’s condition, and to perform such emergency medical procedures as are needed to maintain a patent airway with adequate breathing and cardiovascular circulation until the patient can be transferred to an appropriate destination for advanced medical care. Interventions include cardiopulmonary resuscitation, defibrillation, controlling severe external bleeding, preventing shock, body immobilization to prevent spinal damage, and splinting of bone fractures. EMT’s are trained in BLS, or basic life support. If the patient requires more advanced care during transport that is out of the scope of practice of the EMT, a paramedic or RN will assist in transport. A national exam is required for certification following the mandated in- class hours and patient- contact requirements.

EMS hold difficult discussions with families, provide reassurance to parents, and address a large spectrum of medical illnesses. EMS are to be specially-trained to address any potential problem they are dispatched to, be it trauma-related, pediatric, geriatric, or anything in between. To initiate pre-hospital treatment based on their training and supervision of medical control physicians.

And with the patient knowledge they learn to work with the Emergency Room Physician, Nurses and Staff to provide as accurate set of details possible to assist them in beginning treatment of the sick or injured.

While some 911 calls are tragic and the ending results are not what EMS strive for. But when you see people alive and well that you felt stood no chance, the feelings you have can not be explained of knowing you played as one grain of sand in the big picture of GOD’S plan for a persons life.

Cottonwood EMS, a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ), non profit entity. Accepting applications for both volunteer and paid medical providers for Basic Level of Service through Paramedic.

ALSO...

Cottonwood EMS is a ambulance transport service for those requiring transport from the hospital home, from hospital to hospital, from home to the doctor.

Call of text 334-791-2800 for services.
