DALE COUNTY: 10:30 AM This morning Dale County Commission Chairman Steve McKinnon, members of the Dale County Commission, Mayors from Clayhatchee and Level Plains, and EMS representatives from across Dale County came together in a work session meeting.
Also present was Sonny Brasfield, Executive Director of the Alabama Association of County Commissioners.
There are 41 counties across the State of Alabama that have paid into the Alabama Association of County Commissioners for advise on the ARPA money to make sure it is spent according to guidelines.
And the federal guidelines are more complicated than the tax code!
A serious controversial issue has been the funding of Emergency Medical Services. When EMS, who have been on the front line of COVID see money being spent on plumbing in the courthouse rather needed equipment and vehicles in order to save lives, just putting it plainly the emergency units have been royally pissed!!!
Today Dale County Commission Chairman Steve Mckinnon had Brasfield discuss the issue. The video is unedited and as it was discussed.
So rather than my try and explain, lease watch it.
