Deceased Female Near Newton Has Been Identifyed

DALE COUNTY: On Thursday June 3, 2021 we recovered  a deceased female in the woods off South CR-20 near Newton.


Today through dental records the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences positively identified the deceased as 29 year old Jenita Rose Maldonado of Montgomery.


Maldonado has ties to the Wiregrass area and we believe she had been residing in the area. Based on our investigation we do not believe foul play was involved but if you have any information on Maldonado or her possible whereabouts within the last 3 weeks please contact us.


We would like to thank the Seminole County (GA) and Elmore County Sheriff’s Offices’ for their assistance in this investigation.
