Unless you’ve sat back here where paramedics and EMTs have sat, it’s hard to know what goes on in this limited space. The tiny world back here is unseen by many. This space can be filled with screams, tears, and sadness. It sees blood and broken bones. It witnesses life slipping away and life hanging on. It witnesses hidden pieces of humanity. In this space that bears witness to all of these things, there is also a passion that pursues every option to keep those dying alive and to alleviate suffering.
