Distrubance Call Lands One in Jail in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL:-A North Carolina man was arrested in Washington County after resisting officers with violence yesterday afternoon.


At approximately 5:45pm, August 7th WCSO deputies along with the Chipley Police Department responded to Main Street in Chipley following reports of a man openly carrying a gun in a public parking lot. On scene, deputies observe a male exit the vehicle with a long rifle strapped to his chest. The male later identified as 33-year-old, Dominic Marco Prince, follows commands and safely allows deputies to take possession of the firearm and is detained.



During questioning, Prince attempted to walk away from deputies and refused to follow commands. Deputies assisted Prince to the patrol car where he continued to actively resist. 



Prince was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on the charges of carrying prohibited weapon openly, battery on LEO and resisting an officer with violence.
