DOC Van Involved in an Accident on State Road 20

A DOC cargo van, was traveling west on State Road 20. A fuel truck was stopped in the westbound lane of State Road 20 behind a stopped school bus, which had their stops signs out and flashing red lights activated picking up a school student.
The driver of van did not realize that truck was stopped until it was too late. The driver of van swerved to the right in an attempt to avoid the collision and the front left of van collided with the rear right of truck.
After the collision, van rotated in a counterclockwise direction before coming to final rest on the north paved shoulder facing in a southwesterly direction.
The truck was unmoved by the collision and remained stopped in the westbound lane facing in a westerly direction. The driver of van was transported to a local area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of truck was uninjured in this crash.
