Dothan Fire Department Raises Funds

DOTHAN, ALABAMA:Each year the Dothan Fire Department conducts a public awareness and fundraising campaign for Childhood Cancer Awareness. Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 10:00 in the morning, members of the Fire Department will donate the funds raised in this year’s campaign.

“As in years past, we held a family fun day and a 5K run, both of which were a great success”, according to Deputy Chief David Hasty. Hasty continued, “The community and our members really stepped up by purchasing our annual awareness t-shirts to raise the funds we have to donate”.

Fire Chief Larry Williams added, “Each year I am overwhelmed at the effort of our members and the many sponsors throughout the community that raise funds and draw awareness to Childhood Cancer”.

Mrs. Carmen Maddox from Children’s Hospitals of Alabama will be present to receive the donation along with Deputy Chief David Hasty, Program Coordinator and other Fire Department members.

Please join us for this brief event at Wiregrass Public Safety Center (100 Public Safety Way) and help close out another great year of fundraising through our community.
