Dothan Man Arrested for Child Abuse After Striking Juvenile in Head with Pistol

DOTHAN—A Dothan man is in custody after striking a juvenile in the head with a pistol. 


On November 23, Dothan Police arrested 41-year-old Allen Terell Jackson of Dothan at his home after he reportedly struck a juvenile under the age of 16 in the head with a pistol after finding her in her bedroom with another juvenile. 


Jackson was apparently upset he found the minors together. He retrieved a pistol and a shotgun, and he struck the female juvenile in the head with the pistol several times before ordering both juveniles outside. 


When police arrived, Jackson again attacked the female juvenile and pushed her in front of officers. 


He was arrested and charged with willful abuse of a child. He was placed in Houston County Jail on $15,000 bond. 


More charges are pending further investigation.
