DOTHAN ALA: Congratulation to Officer A. Knight for receiving a certificate of appreciation at The Forum-Downtown Dothan during the Annual Promotion and Awards Ceremony!  Officer. Knight received the certificate of appreciation for actions on December 30, 2023.


On Dec. 30, 2024, Officer. Knight responded to an edged weapon assault in the 1500 block of Virwood Drive.  While talking with the subject, Officer. Knight saw the individual grab a knife and put it to their neck. Officer. Knight acted quickly to stop the person and get the knife away from them.  If Officer. Knight had not reacted or reacted too slowly, the individual could have seriously injured or killed themselves.  Great work!
