Drug Task Force Makes Trafficking Arrest

HOUSTON COUNTY: On September 15, 2021, the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant at a motel, located in the 3000 block of Montgomery Highway Dothan, Alabama. Through the course of the investigation, deputies and task force officers recovered approximately eleven ounces (11oz) of methamphetamine. The methamphetamine holds an approximate street value of $10,000.00.
Arrested:
Lauren Melissa Tillery, 34 years old from Dothan, Alabama.
Joseph Curtis Dozier, 40 years old from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida & Dothan, Alabama (two residences).

The Alabama Drug Enforcement Task is comprised of officers that are employed by law enforcement agencies from the surrounding area that include: Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Eufaula Police Dept., Ozark Police Dept., Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Geneva Police, Geneva County Sheriff's Office, Enterprise Police Dept. Dale County Sheriff’s Office, Abbeville Police Dept. These agencies come together and share resources and manpower in a joint effort to combat drug traffickers and drug trafficking organizations operating in and around this region of the state.
