ENTERPRISE, ALABAMA:            Let’s all go to the movies! From the classic films to modern favorites, preparations are underway for the annual Christmas parade through downtown on Tuesday, Nov. 28, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The theme for the 2023 Enterprise Christmas Parade Presented by Kaufman’s Outdoors is “Christmas at the Movies.” Mack Clark, the owner of Clark Cinemas will serve as the Grand Marshal.

The parade will be broadcast live on MeTV, an affiliate of WTVY News4, and will stream live on all WTVY digital platforms, including WTVY.com and the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.

Citing citizens’ safety due to several construction projects along Main Street, Enterprise City Council approved a route change at the Sept. 19 meeting. The parade will begin at the intersection of North Main Street and Watts Street, turn left onto Easy Street, right onto Edwards Street, right onto Grubbs Street, and left back onto Main Street. The new route will pass directly in front of the Coffee County Courthouse, which will be the backdrop for the live television broadcast.

East College Street, from Edwards to the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles Enterprise Field Office will be closed starting at 2 p.m. to allow city crews, the production team, and other parade representatives time to set up. All other parade route streets will close one hour prior to the start of the parade. Enterprise Police will start to clear vehicles off Main Street starting at 5 p.m.

Spectators are encouraged to plan ahead to allow extra time for parking and are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to set up a comfortable parade viewing spot along the route.

Public parking will be available in many areas throughout Downtown, including the Coffee County Courthouse and other adjacent areas. No parking is available along the parade route for a better and safer parade viewing experience for everyone.

An Encore Presentation of the parade will air on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. on WTVY and WRGX.
