HENRY COUNTY - LAKE EUFAULA:    It has been almost two years since I have been out on a boat on Lake Eufaula.


This past Sunday, after church. Brantley and his friend Alex, Emily and Josh, along with myself traveled to Hardridge Creek. We put the boat in and the boys along with Emily rode the intertube.


It was a beautiful day and fun on the water. 


The lake was my escape from the fast paced life I live. I always enjoyed relaxing under the picnic area looking over the water. Sometimes with two computers working all days. But in a relaxed atmosphere.


At no fault of my own it ended several years ago. No longer have a place at the lake and boy do I hate not having one. I was raised on Lake Seminole and had a place on Eufaula for years. Love to have one again.


As in most situations the blame ends on me. And found that some who were friends told a lot of lies on me. But that is why I tell my staff, the day I believe that a lot of the "so called" friends like me because I am Rickey Stokes as an individual, they have my permission to take their fist and hit me in the face as hard as they can. Because so many hate me who do not even know me, and some that do know me.


But when their backs are against the wall, I am one of the first they call. And normally even though they knife me in the back, I normally help them. This goes for individuals and politicians and officials. 


Enough rant, the purpose of this article was only to say, I missed boating and the lake. And Sunday, after attending church, went to the lake and it was fun.
