JACKSON COUNTY — Four people, including an infant, were critically injured in a car crash Friday night in Jackson County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a sports utility vehicle carrying four Alabama residents was traveling northbound on State Road 73 near Lancer Rd on Friday night.
Officials say the The SUV moved into the southbound travel lane and into oncoming southbound traffic. The SUV left the roadway and traveled onto the grass shoulder of State Road 73 where it continued to travel north until its left side struck a large tree. It then continued north for a short distance before colliding head on with a second tree. The SUV came to rest facing northbound.
Reports show that three of the victims were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
