Geneva County Now Dispatching Hartford Police

HARTFORD ALA: Beginning Monday, April 1 Hartford Police Dept. will no longer dispatch locally for police officers. As a citizen in need of a police officer in an emergency you always should dial 911, you can still call the 334-588-2222 phone number to get a police officer for something that is not an emergency, that phone number will now be transferred to 34 Central who will be doing our dispatching from now on.

If you come to the Police Dept. and need a police officer, we have a call box in the lobby pictured below. You press the call button and you are directly connected to 34 Central who can dispatch a police officer to you. if you are in need of paperwork or documents or reports from the police department, you can stop by Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM and someone will be there to help you with that.

This is new to all of us, so there will be some growing pains. Please be patient with Central as they adjust to taking on our call volume. As always, we are here to serve you at Hartford Police Dept. and that will never change
