This morning, Gov. Kay Ivey and State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris extended Alabama's current "safer at home" order, which requires individuals to wear a face covering when within six feet of a person from another household in (1) an indoor space open to the general public, (2) a vehicle operated by a transportation service or (3) an outdoor space where 10 or more people are gathered.
Previously set to expire this Friday, the order will now remain in effect until August 31 at 5 p.m. Today's order and proclamation, as well as informational overviews, can be accessed here.
