Hartford Structure Fire - Patient Receives Severe Burns - Slocomb - Bellwood and Wicksburg Roll

HARTFORD: On May 11, 2019 at approximately 01:45 a.m. Geneva County E-911 dispatched Slocomb Fire-Rescue mutual aid to Hartford Fire for a fully involved structure fire at 519 W. Burch St. Engine 3, Squad 1, Tanker 1, and Rescue 5 responded with 10 personnel.
Units arrived to find Hartford Fire performing a defensive attack on a 2 story residential structure that was fully involved.
Engine 3 quickly established a secondary water source from a second hydrant and immediately placed the deck gun in service.
Slocomb Fire Medics immediately began treating the home’s occupant that had been severely burn. Slocomb Fire Medics called a trauma alert and quickly transported the victim to SouthEast Health.
The fire was brought under control in approximately 2 hours.
Bellwood Fire and Wicksburg Fire also responded.
