HCSO Executes Search Warrant, Arrests Two on Drug Charges

HOLMES COUNTY: In the early morning hours of November 21, 2024, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located on Highway 171.



All the occupants of the residence were immediately detained during the operation.



A thorough search of the residence led to the discovery of trafficking amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, and various drug paraphernalia.



During the search, Shane Taylor attempted to destroy a meth pipe but was unsuccessful.



As a result of the investigation, Shane Taylor and Jeffery Smith were arrested and charged with the following offenses:



Shane Taylor -Possession of Methamphetamine, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia



Jeffery Smith- Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.



Both individuals have been booked into the Holmes County Jail.
