How In The World Does This Make Any Sense IF IT IS TRUE that Saving Life Is Important

REHOBETH - TAYLOR:    9:40 PM    Moments ago Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched a structure fire in Taylor at 53 Essie Lane in Taylor. Because this is within the city limits of Taylor the agency of jurisdiction is Taylor.

The backup fire department that is "automatic aid" to Taylor Fire at 53 Essie Lane is Rehobeth Fire Department.

Rehobeth has an ambulance. But a former Taylor Mayor, either Mike Tucker or Joel Napier, signed an agreement for Pilcher Ambulance to be automatic ambulance for Taylor. Even though Rehobeth EMS borders Taylor. Since Joel Napier was Mayor the Town of Taylor is on the 2nd Mayor since Napier resigned.

Tonight when the fire was dispatched on Essie Lane and EMS Provider dispatched was Pilcher Ambulance Service.

Pilcher Ambulance is located at 923 South Foster Street in Dothan. According to Google maps the travel distance is 14 minutes or 7.2 miles from Pilcher Ambulance to Essie Lane.

Rehobeth Fire was dispatched "automatic aid" to the Taylor Fire. That means at the same time Taylor Fire is dispatched the Sheriff 911 Center dispatches Rehobeth Fire.

Rehobeth Fire is co-located with Rehobeth EMS. According to Google Maps it is 3.1 miles, 5 minutes, from the Rehobeth Station located at 235  Malvern Road to 53 Essie Lane.

Those in charge, of which I am not, claim they are in business to save lives. And I realize that I am an extremely stupid person who never looks at the clear picture, or those in leadership claim I do not.

PILCHER AMBULANCE TO SCENE.... 14 minutes - 7.2 miles.

REHOBETH EMS.... 7 minutes - 3.1 miles.

If indeed these people in charge, whomever they are, are really in the business to save lives, I ask you...which EMS provider is the better choice.

Seconds means lives.

And this comes from someone who is not really a fan of Rehobeth EMS. They have one there who is difficult for anyone to work with, a problem, a cancer to the department. But no one with backbone to do anything. So I am not a fan to get Rehobeth EMS dispatched. This is just pure fact.

But what I am is someone who puts life first.
