DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY:    This morning ALEA Post Commander Sgt. Tracey McCord and other ALEA Troopers and other law enforcement officers went to Highway 431 to search for a man wanted in connection with a murder in Santa Rosa County Florida.

I looked at some Florida news tonight, 12:09 AM, and did not find any new information.

Today's arrest could have turned out bad with officers or the suspect injured or killed. I have no clue of his intentions or any intentions.

RSN does not that when Trooper McCord was following the vehicle he reported it appeared the subject was reaching for something. From some on the scene, not ALEA Troopers, I am aware there was a weapon found in the suspects vehicle.

Through the Houston County Sheriff Jail Web Page, booked into the Houston County Jail by ALEA - Troopers on a Fugtive From Justice Arrest is John Patrick Guillebeau. He is a white male, age 60.

The vehicle the suspect was driving had a Georgia VET license plate. And he was traveling south bound on Highway 431.

The patience of Sgt. McCord, the quick response from Captain Eric Duhaime running southbound on Highway 431 to Sgt. McCord, the northbound from Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza, Sgt. Ray Arnold and others from Houston County Sheriff Department, the north bound response from Dothan Police Department, the interception from Kinsey Police Chief, the quick response from other ALEA Troopers... once in place and they made it by Dothan High School where no one from the school would be in danger, Sgt. McCord went to make the traffic stop.

The suspect saw many - many law enforcement officers and surrendered without incident.

While I have named the above, there is one special person who is always heard and never seen that played a very important and crucial part of this apprehension.

And that is the ALEA Trooper dispatcher that was on duty. She was on top of it today, providing accurate details of information so the ALEA Troopers and agencies were informed and prepared.

The dispatchers never get credit, seen or credited. But the ALEA Trooper dispatcher did an awesome job.

The suspect will appear before Houston County District Court Judge Benjamin Lewis via closed circuit TV. If he signs a waiver of extradition to Florida, they will have 10 business days to pick him up and transport to Florida.
