“ There Is No Death…People Only Die When We Forget Them.
If You Can Remember Me I Will Be With You Always. “

Today I placed these floral arrangements at the Angel Of Hope for my Great Uncle,
Clark Price Hardwick, who was almost 2 years old when he was called to Heaven almost 131 years ago…YES…131 years ago.

Clark was the son of my Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother from Headland …
Dr. William Pleasant Hardwick and Anna Price Hardwick and his siblings were Dr. Charles (Fred) Hardwick, Max Hardwick And Leta Hardwick.

I was first told about Clark Hardwick when I was probably 12 years old and I remember my Uncle Mike telling me he was buried in the Methodist cemetery in Headland where all of my ancestors on the Hardwick side of the family were buried.

I did the Angel Of Hope statue at Westgate Park in 2016 so that no child who was called to Heaven would ever be forgotten and that included Clark.

For many years I tried to find Clark’s headstone and never had any luck finding it.

I had called the local funeral home and the church to see if they had a record of where Clark was buried.

No luck.

Yesterday I tried once again.

He wasn’t buried in the Hardwick Family Plot…I knew from my uncle telling me that his headstone was no where near the family plot.

And I knew it was a very small headstone.

So I just kept looking at every headstone that was isolated from others.

And then I saw a small marker that was broken but still legible laying in the grass…

IT WAS CLARK

Some of you may be thinking “ What is so important about finding a burial plot over 130 years old?”

I’ll tell you why..

Yes…he died in 1892
Yes…I never knew him
Yes…I never saw a picture of him
But….
The reason why it was so important to me…is because it’s also very important to Clark Price Hardwick.

That little boy died almost 131 years ago and for the most part he had been forgotten.

Clark, just like any other child doesn’t deserve to be forgotten.

He Did Exist!!

So please join me in seeing the beauty in all of this..

A child who died almost 131
years ago

A child in Heaven you had never heard of until now…

A child who is saying from Heaven up above…
“ If You Can Remember Me I Will Be With You Always “

Is Now A Child That We Can Finally Say These Important Words To….

Clark Price Hardwick
You Are Always Loved, Missed And Remembered
