K9 Highway Alerts to Meth Found in Empty Pizza Box

PONCE DE LEON - On March 3rd, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on Ponce De Leon Springs Rd. Contact was made with the driver, and passenger Joyce Clark of PDL.


During the stop, K9 Highway conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the presence of illegal narcotics. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, and produced two baggies of methamphetamine and a glass pipe.


The baggies, found in an empty pizza box near Ms. Clark, contained a total of more than 18 grams of methamphetamine.


Joyce Clark was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail. She faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine 14 grams or over, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
