SLOCOMB: Geneva County Central 911 Center dispatched Slocomb Fire, Malvern Fire, Fadette Fire and Slocomb EMS to a structure fire at 10:38 PM last evening.
On dispatch the structure was full engulfed. All occupants were out.
Not much you can do as a fireman when you arrive and encounter such except protect other structures from damage.
GOOD JOB to all. And remember ... the majority of those fighting the fire do it for FREE to serve their community. The call at 10:38 PM, they did not finish until late in the morning and those volunteers now have to go to work in their job all day.
