Lee County Attempted Murder Investigation

At approximately 11:00 pm on Thursday July 23rd 2020, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 1200 block of Lee Rd. 40 in the Salem community of Lee County.
Responding Deputies arrived and discovered that a mobile home residence occupied by multiple persons including a two (2) year old child had been shot into multiple times. Evidence at the scene indicated that a large caliber firearm was likely involved. An investigation was initiated and a suspect was developed.
On Monday afternoon, July 27, 2020, Khadijah J’Nya Marion (17) of the Salem community was arrested by Sheriff’s investigators and charged with Attempted Murder and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. She was booked into the Lee County Detention Facility and bond was set at $ 125,000. A handgun was recovered at the time of Marion’s arrest.
