Level Plains PD Makes Arrests and Reminders

The Level Plains Police Department has arrested and charged the following individuals:

-Willie Biggham: Biggham was arrested and charged with theft of property in the third degree. He was pulled over for a traffic offense when a Level Plains police officer realized he had a warrant for his arrest that was attempted to be served last week.

-Crisanto Caz: Caz was pulled over for speeding and was then arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.

Level Plains Public Information Officer Chase Dickerson is reminding drivers yet again that they are still enforcing the posted speed limits throughout the city of Level Plains. They are asking people to please be careful when driving through this area and to follow all traffic laws. 

Dickerson said, "Speed is one of the five major contributing factors to motor vehicle accidents."

In addition to speed, he said the other major factors that contribute to car accidents are drunk driving, drug-impaired driving, distracted driving, and drowsy driving according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
