Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault

JACKSON COUNTY, FLORIDA:                 On Thursday, November 16, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies received reports that Zeffrey Lane Moss was threatening to harm someone with a baseball bat at a home in Marianna, Florida.

When deputies arrived, they were told that Moss had fled into the woods on foot, and they were given a description of the clothing Moss was wearing.

The K-9 Tracking Unit and Drone Unit were notified and deployed at Moss’s last location. While searching for Moss, a citizen told deputies that they saw a suspicious person matching his description on Laramore Road. 

Investigators made contact with Moss and confirmed his identity. When they attempted to place him under arrest, he resisted. 

Deputies then found drug paraphernalia and meth in his pocket.

Moss was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, resisting an officer without violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.
